Electric Storage Database for Substation Integration
Storage selection is usually based on availability and price but there is always a need to assess the opportunity of making use of existing storage facilities versus commissioning new installations or use of other customer-premises related technologies due to the fact that some constrains are increasing the overall costs of electrical storage-based solutions. In this paper, a comprehensive set of characteristics of storage facilities, able to accurately describe their use was implemented in an updatable database and its functionality was tested using a study case and CBA considerations. The database together with the storage selection procedure is dedicated to help DSOs in their decision to implement storage technologies at substation level.Author(s):
