Comparison Between Non-Oriented Silicon Iron Sheets used for Electrical Machines

The aim of this paper is to evaluate 4 sorts of non-oriented (NO) sheets used for electrical machines. The measurements were performed using Single Sheet Tester. The magnetic materials were evaluated for different values of the peak magnetic polarization and for a range of frequencies from 10 to 200 Hz. Finally, using the Steinmetz’ method, the specific magnetic losses were predicted for an operating frequency up to 1 kHz.
