Efficiency Assessment of an Urban Area Grid Connected PV Power Plant

The paper presents the efficiency assessment of a grid connected PV power plant. An analysis was achieved following the testing of an urban photovoltaic power plant that supplies a final consumer. In this respect, there was necessary to develop two experimental stands used for recording the operation parameters of the PV power plant. Thus, there were measured and acquired the parameters of meteorology which influence the solar and electric power generation (solar radiation and temperature) as well as the electric current and voltage corresponding to the PV power plant operation. The operating data characterizing the solar plant were registered for a period of 70 days on a maximum 8-hour interval.
