The testing stand of the ferrite core transformers

In a company that produces ferrite core transformers, testing the finished products that meets the users demands, has an important role.
For the Quality Check of the transformer, it should be measured the inductance coils and phase angle between windings , so to be sure that all the windings are properly connected to the transformer pins, so there are required multiple measurements and even changing the measuring interval of the measuring device. After each change of the measuring interval its re-calibration is also necessary, and this is time-consuming.
To reduce the testing time without compromising the quality by testing a few products of each batch, it has been designed an indirect measurement method that can give clear information about non-compliant products.
The method relies on the fact that winding in series inductors wounded on the same core and in phase, which will make the total inductance value increasing after a certain rule. Using a test rig based on this method, the required testing time is
reduced, and this will bring benefits mainly when testing large batches of products.
