Torque Analysis in Brushless Direct Current Motors and Constructive Recommendations
This study considered different constructive variants of brushless direct current motors which have the same rated data, constructive dimensions and electromagnetic stresses. The motors differ by their number of poles and slots. The analysis aimed at torque value, low torque oscillations and energetic efficiency. There has been identified the optimum constructive variant which has 2p=40 poles and Ncr=36 slots, average torque Mmed=1.82 Nm, low torque oscillations resulting a distortion factor kdis=5.032%. The research opportunity is justified by progresses obtained in control electronics and in power electronics which increased technical-economic performances with these types of motors. With a high inertia moment, a reaction loop on speed and a performant control system the torque oscillations can be much reduced.Author(s):
