On the Influence of Network Impedance on Flicker Measurements
This paper presents the results of the study of the influence that relatively small changes in the network impedance may have on in-field flicker measurements, performed using measuring instruments for the flicker severity (flickermeters), which were calibrated in the laboratory, under reference conditions. Changes in the network impedance with ± 10 % of the reference value were simulated, using a network model, emulating a typical low voltage, urban network, and rectangular modulation waveforms, emulating changes in the network voltage corresponding to a flicker severity index Pst = 1. The simulation results are important from the metrological point of view and have practical significance for the flickermeter calibration and utilization in networks with different impedance parameters.Author(s):
