Shielding of Magnetic Field Produced by Energized Cables

The purpose of this paper is to investigate and characterize the electromagnetic environment in power distribution installations. The context of studying this subject is the electromagnetic stress as potential risk for sensitive equipment and human operators. The paper highlights the electromagnetic environment for an individual conductor placed on a metal bed and the shielding effect of the ferromagnetic structure with perforations. Studying the electromagnetic field gives the possibility to determinate the influence zone called the electromagnetic risk area.
