Action Program /2017/IEEE-EMB RO Chapter
1. IEEE International Conferences – Technical
sponsorship
ATEE-2017 — The
International Symposium on Advanced Topics in Electrical Engineering is organized by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, at the University
POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. ATEE is
technically co-sponsored by the Romanian IEEE Section, the EMB, EMC, Communications
/ Information Theory / Signal Processing (IEEE-COM/IT/SP), Power and Energy
(IEEE-PE), Control Systems (IEEE-CS), Power Electronics (IEEE-PE), Magnetics
(IEEE-MAG) –, under the aegis of the Academy of Technical Sciences in
Romania.
Contact person: Prof. Alexandru Morega, Chair
Place and date: University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, the Conference
Center, 23-25 March, 2017.
Site: http://www.atee.upb.ro
ATEE 2017 is an IEEE conference (#40220), organized by the Faculty of Electrical
Engineering, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. As its 10-th edition, ATEE
is the forum that stimulates active and effective exchange of information
between researchers in various areas of theoretical and applied electrical
engineering. Key leaders from private and state owned companies involved in
will also be in attendance.
Among other topics of interest in Electrical Engineering, the Section on
“Engineering in Medicine and Biology and Electromagnetic Compatibility” –
technically co-sponsored by our Chapter.
EHB-2017 — The International Conference on
E-Health and Bioengineering is an IEEE conference (#41495). EHB 2017 is at
6-th edition and represents a big opportunities for researchers and industry
practitioners to share their new ideas, original research results and practical
development experiences from eHealth and Bioengineering related areas. EHB 2017
is sponsored by “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi,
the Faculty of Medical Bioengineering Iasi (FMBI), The Romanian Society of
Medical Bioengineering (SRBM), and technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Romania
Section, IEEE-EMB Romania Chapter, the Institute of Computer Science of
Romanian Academy Iași Branch
Contact person: Prof. Hartion Costin, General Chair
Place and date: Sinaia, 22-24 June, 2017.
Site: http://www.ehbconference.ro/
EHB 2017 will cover a broad spectrum of up-to-date topics of e-Health and
Medical Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering by giving the opportunity to
scientists from diverse fields to participate in the presentation, discussion
and evaluation of the latest advances, research challenges, and opportunities
in hardware/software technologies, medical devices/instrumentation, biosignal
and image processing, biomaterials, biomechanics, biotechnologies,
bioinformatics, micro and nanotechnologies, systems biology or virtual
physiological human (and this list is not exhaustive). Active participation
from research scientists, students, business professionals, and medical system
leaders is also expected to generate productive ideas, links between industry
and academia and partnerships for national and European programs, of which
Horizon 2020 is of special importance.
2. The IEEE-EMB RO Chapter Conferences and Annual
Seminars and Meetings.
Description: A seminar with
the members of the EMB community. The goal is to identify the status of the
community and to explore new opportunities in consolidating the Chapter and
strengthening ties with R&D, industry, companies, and other IEEE Chapters.
It is expected that the EMB seminar will be connected to conferences such as
ATEE, EHB, INGIMED and others.
